Moon Choi, a South Korean native, is an accomplished pianist and distinguished teacher with extensive expertise. He has pursued an active performing career across the United States, Europe, and Asia. He earned a Master's degree at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where he worked as a Staff Pianist for the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. He furthered his education at Michigan State University, earning a doctoral degree in Piano Performance and a Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano on a full scholarship. As a solo recitalist and guest artist, he was invited to perform in the Carnegie Weill Hall in New York City and also performed in Jordan Hall in Boston after winning the NEC honors competition, among other venues. Previously, he joined Korea National Opera as Pianist and served as a faculty at the Iksan Art center by the Korea government Ministry of Culture. Currently, based in Cary, he dedicates himself to teaching piano and adjudicating local competitions. His students have been prize winners in many competitions, auditions and prestigious awards.Theyhavealsogainedadmissiontotopuniversitiesandmusicconservatories, includingDukeUniversity, UNCChapelHill, theClevelandInstituteofMusic, theManhattanSchoolofMusic, IndianaUniversity'sJacobsSchoolofMusic, theBostonConservatory, and many more. In 2023, he was recognized as the top piano teacher by Steinway and Sons.
